Side effects of injections given into the blood tend to be similar to side effects of steroid tablets, such as increased appetite, mood changes and difficulty sleeping, but with fewer side effects. Drug manufacturers have to include warnings about the side effects of the drugs in their drugs labels or warnings must be printed on the package packaging. The FDA website says "side effects that can occur after injection can range from mild discomfort to life-threatening symptoms or death. In addition, some of these side effects may last beyond the drug's intended use." Injection can cause bleeding if it fails For many people the side effects can't be prevented, but injection can cause bleeding and even failure of the blood vessel in the brain. If the brain stem doesn't supply enough blood, it can block brain function until the next injection. This can cause seizures and death for people under 18. "Aspirin is often given for heart and arthritis pain, and in these cases we suggest a different drug that is less likely to cause an allergic reaction," said Dr. Shatz. "If there is a problem with the injection, it may be necessary to administer another medication." Dr. Shantz recommends that patients are monitored by the doctor every 15 minutes for 14 days after the first injection, which happens when they're typically under the influence of the drug. Dr. Shatz says there should also be a regular check-up and a reminder to get a refill prescription if one is needed. Other side effects include headaches and nausea that people experience after injections. Dr. Shatz says these medications should be avoided in people with brain or kidney damage. How long does it take to recover? Dr. Shatz says the symptoms of the injection can usually return within 10 days to 30 days, and they usually resolve a few days after the injections have stopped. Most people will experience moderate to severe memory loss and mental confusion for at least a few days after their injections, but not everyone who recovers from an injections will continue to have signs of brain dysfunction. Some people have to withdraw from work or education. How is it diagnosed? Dr. Shatz said one of the biggest risks of injection is making a false sense Similar articles:
